Have you ever started planning outfits for a cruise before you've even packed your suitcase? Because that's exactly where I am right now! 😂

I'm getting ready for my October 31 Halloween sailing aboard Carnival Mardi Gras, and our adventure starts before we ever step foot on the ship. We're flying to Orlando, meeting friends at Disney Springs for dinner at Raglan Road, spending the night near the airport, and then heading to Port Canaveral to kick off seven nights of Caribbean cruising with our Carnival Treasure Chest casino offer.

Between Halloween, White & Gold Night, Pirate Theme Night, and 80s Rock & Glow, I've already started filling my Amazon cart with outfit possibilities. Will I wear everything I'm considering? Probably not! But half the fun is deciding what to bring, finding a few fun things along the way, and seeing how it all comes together.

✈️ First Stop: Orlando!

We're flying into Orlando the day before our cruise. I always prefer having a little extra time before embarkation rather than worrying about flight delays on cruise day.

🏨 Staying at the Fairfield Inn Orlando Airport

We're staying at the Fairfield Inn Orlando Airport for a practical reason. Our Carnival casino offer includes a shuttle to Port Canaveral, and we need to meet it at the airport on October 31.

The hotel's complimentary airport shuttle makes this a convenient option. We'll spend the night, enjoy breakfast, and head back to the airport to meet our Carnival-provided transportation.

If you're trying to keep your cruise budget under control, this is worth considering! Sometimes staying near the airport makes more sense than paying for a hotel near the port and arranging separate transportation.

🛍️ Disney Springs With Friends

Before cruise day, we're meeting friends at Disney Springs for an evening of shopping, dining, and catching up.

We're planning to have dinner at Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant, known for its Irish food, live music, and dancing. It should be a fun way to kick off vacation before heading to the ship.

Disney Springs is a great option for a fun Orlando evening without purchasing theme park tickets.

🎃 Halloween on Carnival Mardi Gras

Saturday, October 31, is embarkation day—and Halloween! I'm bringing a costume so we're ready to join the festivities if they're offered that evening.

But Halloween isn't the only themed night I'm thinking about. White & Gold Night, Pirate Theme Night, and 80s Rock & Glow are also on my radar.

I've started browsing Amazon for some outfit ideas, and these are the items currently sitting in my cart! I'm still deciding what I'll actually wear, so consider these my possible looks rather than the final outfits.

Once we leave Port Canaveral, it's time for seven nights of cruising, exploring, and relaxing aboard Carnival Mardi Gras.

Our itinerary includes:

• Amber Cove, Dominican Republic: Tropical scenery, local culture, and excursion opportunities.

• RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay: Beautiful beaches and a chance to unwind.

• Celebration Key, Grand Bahama: Beach areas, lagoons, shopping, and Caribbean fun.

We'll also have time to enjoy the ship itself, from dining and entertainment to relaxing on sea days and making the most of our Treasure Chest cruise benefits.
